Johnsrud Architects is pleased to announce the completion of a multi-phased, building-wide administrative and collaborative workplace renovation project.

The project focused on the creation of new collaborative and multi-purpose work environments, while renovating existing spaces to encourage a more vibrant setting. The project‘s focus was on the public and amenity areas including, Main Lobby, Cafeteria, Fitness Center, Multiple Kitchenettes, the Boardroom, and introduced various collaborative work zones. The project also upgraded and refreshed the finishes throughout the 2nd and 3rd Floors of the building. New furniture selections for seating areas involved close coordination with the furniture vendor, and working with the Branding team to implement a building wide branding effort for the client.

Administrative areas throughout the building were renovated to incorporate new finishes, new workstations and new furnishings to support a collaborative work style. By changing the existing workstation model, a more efficient and productive workspace was created. Teaming areas, low cubicle panels, lounges, and comfortable seating arrangements encourage huddle-type teamwork as well as workplace health. This renovation created an open feel to the entire floor, while providing for areas appropriate to individualized focus work.

Main Lobby and atrium refurbishments centered on the company’s business mantra and helped to establish brand recognition. Existing finishes were selectively upgraded to minimize building disruption and cost, while aligning with the owner’s facility standards. A custom-built reception desk and waiting area seating were designed for this Lobby, and integrated with new state-of-the-art security access control systems.

Renovations to the Cafeteria provided a lively and interesting space that served for both typical dining functions and large group activities and presentations. A folding, demising partition and multiple drop-down projection screens provided the flexibility ideal for our clients’ dynamic workplace strategy. The serving areas of the Cafeteria were completely renovated and included new finishes, ceiling features, and millwork throughout the space while incorporating the reuse of existing kitchen equipment.
