Ryan Andrulewich

Ryan has been at Johnsrud Architects since 2011. As a Project Architect he has demonstrated his knowledge and skills on projects that consistently meet very demanding functional, budget, and schedule requirements. Committed to his projects, Ryan takes the initiative to learn about his clients’ processes and approaches each project with an understanding of both the design and business objective. Ryan will continue to lead projects, and grow and maintain client relationships while participating in mentoring our staff and developing and guiding our BIM execution plan.

Melissa Cantz


Starting as an intern during college, Melissa has been with Johnsrud Architects since 2007. Melissa is the primary contributor to the firm’s documentation and reference standards and provides solid guidance and mentoring to others regarding daily tasks and quality expectations. Melissa is a team leader on planning and programming projects for many of our corporate clients. Her ability to manage “big” data, metrics, and benchmarks to define viable design solutions enforces her strong client relationships. She is also a key contributor to the firm’s administrative understanding of corporate office guidelines, otherwise known as Alternative Workplace. Melissa is pursuing her architectural registration.

Matthew Decker


Matt joined Johnsrud Architects in 2009. A key contributor to the advancement of our BIM capabilities, Matt is currently focusing on research of industry trends in the development of BIM execution plans. His initiatives to explore innovations in technology lead to creative design solutions for our clients. He is instrumental in leading new staff training on the firm’s documentation procedures. As an architectural lead, Matt is developing relationships with clients who notice and appreciate his dedication to their projects.

Elizabeth Holden


Elizabeth joined the firm in 2004 and since then her duties have expanded from administrative/organizational tasks and directory management to Assistant Controller, Project Controls Leader, and in-house IT Support and Infrastructure Manager. Elizabeth's project controls support aligns internal project management to accounts receivable and bridges to the larger project team to coordinate and clearly communicate status. Her recently earned MCSA validates her knowledge in assessing software and its impact on our work as the firm continues to be innovative and forward-thinking in our planning, design, and management techniques.

Theresa Houpt


Theresa joined Johnsrud Architects in 2012. With a background in healthcare design, Theresa easily transitioned to the firm’s work in laboratory planning for pharmaceutical research and manufacturing. With enthusiasm and commitment, she defines and solves the complexities inherent in her projects while always mindful of the people who work in these spaces. She is an asset on any project and an engaged mentor in the firm. Theresa will continue to lead projects, develop her interest in lighting solutions, and maintain client relationships. She is pursuing architectural registration and is the proud owner of a bright red 4-Runner.

Jim Leigh


Jim brings over 38 years of professional experience to Johnsrud Architects. He leads all aspects of architectural design including campus planning, space programming, health care facility master planning, university campus site planning, schematic design, design documentation, construction documentation and construction administration. His experience includes projects in healthcare, higher education, research laboratories, senior living facilities, commercial retail projects, physician offices, athletic facility design and outpatient ambulatory care buildings. Jim is responsible for creative and functional design, as well as quality control of all planning and design work. His understanding of strategic issues, coupled with an operational orientation, enables him to effectively lead in this process.
